Anniversary photoshoot…

…was the most amazing experience I’ve had in a while. It was SO much fun. Totally added to the awesome day of love and joy. Weather was perfect. I had perfect hair and makeup done. Loved my outfit so much. I felt incredibly sexy and beautiful. Hubby himself looked so handsome wearing a crisp white and lime green lounge shirt.Bernadette and Chris-110713-056

Our photographer, herself a newlywed, was so quirky and game for trudging through mud to get the best shot.

It was difficult to let the reins go and have someone else behind the camera. I still wish I could clone myself to take my own piccies. But the results of this shoot made it so worth it. So natural, my own photography philosophy.

Hubby and I eventually had cheek spasms from all the smiles, it can be quite difficult to smile constantly for half hour. I so wish I could have that day over, it was THAT much fun.

The best of all was the surprise end location where there was an old stable and beautiful horses. We had such an intimate moment with the one horse, his nose was resting right against my cheek for the longest time breathing my scent in. I was mesmerized by him and it made me want to get a horse right there and then. It’s still on my wish list, I will make it happen one day, but I suppose I should learn how to ride first :)

Feeling blessed…

Monday, August 8th, 2011

…this evening! Today is Monday inbetween a Sunday and a public holiday and we just took the day off. We lazily lay in bed watching a show on the laptop while enjoying a cuppa green tea. Bought a barrel or two online. Then made some boiled eggs and soaked up some sun outside with our pups enjoying some more tea. Then we decided to go to our favourite diy shop, came home for lunch then chilled in front of tv eventually falling asleep.

Yesterday we enjoyed an outing with our girls to the park and were so impressed with their behaviour, it was a beautifully peaceful outing. We even got to talk to some policemen on horses and they let us bring the pups a bit close to say hi.

This long weekend has been an incredibly peaceful relaxed weekend and that makes me feel blessed. I have no immediate urgent worries or to do’s to attend to. Although I must say my wishlist to do list is miles long :) but nothing with much of a do or die deadline.

Last week I did not feel peaceful and it was rather tiring. It’s not a good feeling. Therefore the mindset I find myself in the last day or so I am grateful for. Even the brief time I spent in the garden surrounded by my inquisitive pups was food for my soul. Getting your hands dirty is humbling. Gives one perspective you know, like stop and smell the roses. Fresh uprooted earth never smelt so refreshing…
