For the first time in a very long time the Christmas spirit has hit me. This year we have even made our very own Christmas tree, our first. We haven’t owned a Christmas tree or even a speck of tinsel in our adult lives. Oh wait there was that one year that we “acquired” a live tree in frowned upon ways but that file is classified and it wasn’t nice to have a fresh tree with fresh gogga’s and all.

Anyways, so it’s not even December yet and my Christmas shopping is so to say done, well almost, the furkids I guess are gonna get spoilt again too, we can’t forget about them, but I must save something to do for the holidays. I’m thinking of what we as a couple will do for Christmas day as I’m still not keen on the whole family juggling, it’s more stressful than enjoyable. We’ve usually gone to Addo for the day which was great but this year it’s time to dress up and do something exciting and different.

I’m busy wrapping some presents and it feels fun again….that fun was lost for many years but I’m glad to say the enthusiasm is returning. It’s all about the wrapping and unwrapping isn’t it!!! How much excitement don’t you have when you receive a beautifully wrapped gift, hey?

….roll on holidays and Christmas cheer…

I love surprises, although I’m not very easy to surprise coz I’m so suspicious and nosey and generally plan things before anyone has a chance anyways…LOL suppose that’s another topic for another day. So I’m not often surprised. Just the other day while I was going through rather a tough emotional time I got a very awesome surprise! While walking the dogs back home there was a small delivery van parked at our gate and we were suspicious…when we got closer I saw flowers in the van. Now we’ve often had to sign for neighbours and I rarely get flowers delivered so I didn’t think much of it until the guy said my name and I got the biggest bunch of red roses and a cuddly teddy bear. Hubby looked at me and said explicitly it’s NOT from him….wonder still what he thought! When I read the card it was from total strangers I consider friends, we chat online quite often. I didn’t know what to say, still don’t actually coz it was genuinely too big a gift for just sommer sake. But it lifted my spirits and my heart and it was the nicest thing someone has ever done in a long time.

I love jewellery but am quite happy wearing costume jewellery and my wedding ring and diamond studs are the only pieces of great worth. But a few years back I saw the ultimate 3rd treasured piece I would love to get my hands on, this too slipped through my fingers once I had made my decision, too late. And I’ve never seen a piece quite like it again or even really remember so that I can have it reproduced. It’s a beautiful fine leaf and vine ring set in white and yellow gold with some scattered diamond chips. Cannot even find pictures of the exact memory but these are ideas.

…is highly desired!!! But I’m holding out. Although it is very tempting when you see specials. I would love a big flat screen TV. We love watching loads of tv and dvd’s and it would be awesome to have a fantastic quality tv and sound…..soon very soon me thinks!

…is my wish lately! I wish I could get a Dodge Caliber in Surf Blue. Got really close earlier this year to getting it but then it slipped through my fingers and I’m sad it didn’t happen but it was meant to be like that at the time. I do however wish in the future that I will get my chance to drive my very own.
